Oracle has announced the launch of Oracle AI Agent Studio for Fusion Applications, a platform designed to help businesses develop, extend, and manage AI agents for enterprise operations. The studio integrates with Oracle’s Fusion Cloud Applications Suite and provides tools to automate multi-step processes across functions such as finance, HR, and supply chain management.

    AI Agents in Enterprise Applications

AI agents are emerging as a key component in enterprise software, capable of automating tasks and decision-making. Oracle AI Agent Studio builds on the company’s existing AI capabilities, allowing businesses to customize AI agents to fit specific requirements.

Steve Miranda, Executive Vice President of Applications at Oracle, stated: “AI agents are the next phase of evolution in enterprise applications, and just like with existing applications, business leaders need the flexibility to create specific functionality to address their unique and evolving business needs.” With over 50 AI agents embedded in Oracle Fusion Applications, the AI Agent Studio offers additional customization and deployment options.

    Key Features

Users can create AI agents using pre-built templates and natural language prompts for tasks such as opportunity-to-quote and return order processing. The platform allows multiple AI agents to collaborate on complex tasks with checkpoints and approvals for oversight. Businesses can also modify Oracle’s pre-packaged AI agents by adding documents, tools, prompts, or APIs. Users have the option to select from various large language models (LLMs), including Oracle-optimized models like Llama and Cohere, or integrate external models. The studio provides direct access to Oracle Fusion Applications APIs, preserving business logic within automated workflows, while also supporting secure API integrations with third-party AI solutions and enterprise applications. Built with Oracle’s security framework, the AI Agent Studio applies existing policies and access controls. Additionally, validation and testing tools help ensure the accuracy, reliability, and compliance of AI-driven workflows.

    Adoption and Industry Perspectives

According to Accenture’s Chief AI Officer, Lan Guan, AI agents are expected to become mainstream by 2025, with increased investment in agentic architectures. Consulting firms such as Deloitte and PwC recognize the platform’s potential in helping businesses manage and measure the impact of AI agents.

Holger Mueller of Constellation Research described the studio as “an impressive next step for Oracle’s AI strategy”. Analysts highlight that AI-driven automation is accelerating, and tools like the AI Agent Studio could support broader enterprise adoption of AI.
